Yes this is a direct follow on from the last chapter of Blood and roses but I feel it’s moving on to a new plot line and you possible wouldn’t need to read Blood and Roses to have to understand this.The plot as taking on a major twist due to whats been happening since a made a fake Frank Iero's myspace based on this story, it short of turned into a role playing game and anyone is welcome to join in. Just make a my space stating weather you're a vampire, fertile, human or toy theres a chat room to.
Patrick's eyes blinked open looking at the white of the hospital walls. He hurt all over as he struggled to sit up.
“Hey Patty, let me help you,” Pete said rushing to help Patrick to sit up. Patrick smiled as Pete tenderly stroked his strawberry blond hair away from his face.. “God Patty when I saw you lying there like that I thought I'd lost you. You scared me,”
“I bet I was more scared,” Patty smiled sadly as Pete wrapped him in his arms.
“Well no one is going to touch you again, I’m never going to let you out of my sight again,” Pete said cupping Patrick’s face in his hands before kissing him deeply. “Patrick I love you and I want to ask you something,”
Patrick heart missed a beat as Pete took a box out of his jacket and opened it to reveal a very expensive looking platinum ring.
“Patrick will you marry me?”
Patrick almost squealed as Pete took his hand, putting the ring on his finger.
“Oh god’s Pete, yes and yes!” Patrick screamed.
“Well hello, if it isn’t Zacky Vengeance, and this must be your lovely daughter Daylin,”
Daylin looked up at the man that stood in front of her and instantly took a dislike to him. He looked like a creep and the way he was almost dragging a fertile with him made her shudder. The girl really looked like she didn’t want to be with him.
“Bert it’s been a long time,” Daylin noted that her father's smile was fake when he met Bert’s eyes.
“I hope nothing happened to any of the family, especially your lovely mate Darcy,” Bert grinned his hand going round the fertile's waist beside him. Daylin noted that the girl looked disgusted to have Bert’s hands on her.
“No, Daylin’s best friend is in hospital, and may I ask what brings you here?”
“Oh my mate fell down the stair’, didn’t you sweetheart?” Bert smiled running his hand down the girl's back.
“Yes Bert,” She whispered, looking down.
Daylin's eyes narrowed, she could tell Bert was lying and for what ever reason the girl was going along with it. It was hard to believe that a vampire would actually hurt his mate, and despite how sadistic vampire dominates would often be, domestic violence was almost unheard of, but something told Daylin that it was happening to the girl.
“Bert and…” Zacky smiled looking to the girl.
“Her name's Rebecca,” Bert answered for her.
“Most of my friends call me Dodger,” The girl suddenly spoke up.
“No, It’s Rebecca you know I hate that nick name,” Bert said and Daylin noted how he grabbed Rebecca’s hand and squeezed a little too tightly, making the fertile wince in pain.
In that moment Daylin made a pledge to herself that what ever was going on between Rebecca and Bert she would find out and help the girl in what ever way she could.
